It is known that Polly Akter of Satbak village got married to Emon Mia of North Kagabala village of Upper Kagabala union of Moulvibazar Sadar upazila last (March 19). According to the religious rules, they were married through Nikahnama register by fixing the kabin of four lakh rupees. After the marriage became known in the area, the local counselors stood in the way. According to their claim, according to tradition, no outsider gets married to a fisherman’s family. Meanwhile
on March 25, the matter came into discussion after Polly Akhtar posted about it on social media Facebook. After returning home, the newly married couple, Polly Akhtar and Iman Mia, said, “We were in hiding because of the fear of the socialists.” We are back home. Society has accepted us. I am grateful to the police administration and media personnel. Due to their cooperation we regained a new life. Wishing everyone prayers।
Chairman of Upper Kagabala Union Eamon Mustafa said the newlyweds have returned to their homes. The issue was resolved by sitting at the Model Police Station with all parties of the village. Everyone has agreed there, no one will interfere in their life. We have accepted them. Moulvibazar Police Superintendent Mohammad Zakaria said that everyone in the society has accepted them. A nice solution to the issue. Due to which the newlyweds were able to return home. A police team took them home. Wishing them a happy married life
